Big Bear Activities

I don't believe there is anything more enjoyable then watching my Husband play with our Son. No matter what activity they partake in Noah always smiles, always tries to tell me about it over and over again (even when I watched the entire time), and always wants to do it again!

Since I was almost 32 weeks pregnant, Eric kept Noah busy during our vacation so I could relax a little. Besides the many trips they took on the Stand Up Paddle board...

...they spent time on Auntie B's Kayak...

...and played in the spa.

JUMP!

And lots of HUGS!
There is nothing more sexy than an involved father, who really, truly, has fun with his family!
And the best part about my husband being so extremely hands on...

...mom finds time for play too!

Eric turned 30 while we were up in Big Bear, so I surprised him by having one of his best friends visit for a day. Nick, Jodie and Porter Fasullo came up and took advantage of the warm water and 86 degree weather! The Fasullo's are big fans of surf boards, paddle boards and everything water too.

The always so BEAUTIFUL Jodie spent some alone time fishing and soaking in the sun.

Porter practiced his surfing

and Nick hung out on the dock with the boys for a while.

We are so blessed to have them in our lives.
Nick and Jodie are so much fun and Porter is a very good kid who always sets a great example for Noah.
Friends like the Fasullo's are hard to come by!

Friends and Family, that's what we are trying to enjoy in our life.
Thankfully its easy since our family is pretty darn AMAZING!

Auntie B, Uncle B and Hunter in a stunning family moment. And then Auntie B took Hunter in the spa for Hunters very first time. Hunter loved the warm water and it was a sweet moment for the two of them.

My amazing mother, "Nana". She is very patient with Noah and is a big goof and completely silly when they play.

Noah and Nana spent a lot of time in the waster together.

Noah and Hunter got more then their share of cuddles and hugs from Nana.

Nana also kept track of busy Noah while on the boat so I could grab a RARE chance to tan my rather large pregnant back side.

Pilot, Nana and Pop-pop's Golden Retriever, is such a sweet and well trained dog. He cautiously watched as Pop-pop jumped off the boat and floated in the water. Pilot was making sure no rescues were needed.

My boy, nothing like this sweet one!

I love this photo of Nana. She is a very beautiful grandmother of two who still has loooong thin legs to show off, a perfect white smile, and is very caring and loving to us all.

Noah had a blast with the Doritos, something he hadn't discovered until this trip.

The Doritos and the EMPTY beer can. Apparently the can is one very exciting toy because he practically threw a full blown temper tantrum when he had to give it up.

Unfortunately Stephen and Stephanie (My brother and sister-in-law) were only able to come for a day. I guess it was the day I didn't take photos...I feel aweful about it, but They are just as important as every other member of this family. We love them SO SO SO!

BONUS: Doesn't every almost two year old LOVE sunglasses?

This one does!

Favorite Big Bear Moment

Actually, it was a series of moments involving Noah and Hunter.  They bonded.

Noah learned to play with Hunter.
He showed her how to do things like play and be happy in the pool.

They are learning about eachother.

Hunter Rose is a VERY happy baby. Noah told us all day long.

"Hu-der hAappy!"

Then he would repeat "hAappy?" like he was asking her

Noah wants to touch, kiss and hug Hunter all the time...we let him.

***THE BEST PART***
Noah has a special "baby voice" he uses to talk to Hunter. It completely melts my heart and I swear to you all that I will capture it on video. I could listen to his sweet, calm, but squeeky tone all day long.

I think it means he really, truly knows she is SPECIAL and LOVES her!
She is a little slice of Heaven, God took just a little more care when he made her.

V is for VACATION

The vacation rental was just the first of many amazing parts to our exciting week.

...more to come!

Lego Land Aquarium

The McCoys and Fasullo's went to the Lego Land Aquarium on July 9th.
Unfortunately I was having some camera issues so the few pictures I do have aren't the best, but at least they captured some cute moments of the two boys. The two boys (Noah and Porter) happen to be wearing almost the same thing so don't get confused when looking at the photos. I did!

The aquarium was the perfect size for our little boys. It took just less then two hours to walk through it wich is about as long as a 22 month old can handle. Not to say they couldn't have gone longer, I was very surprised by how well they both behaved and truly enjoyed all the sealife!

There were hundreds of tanks, some open to touch, some to walk through, some to walk under, some to see from all sides and angles, it was very creative. The boys enjoyed all the tanks they were allowed to stick their hands in.

(Jodie at 7months pregnant)

Noah, Nick and Porter taking a seat while the mom's took a two minute breather.

In the middle of the aquarium is a large Lego castle for the kids to "help" construct.

Or help "Deconstruct"

Either way, it gave them a change of scenery and allowed them an opportunity to climb. Not that it was intended for this purpose.

In the end, we said our goodbye's. We waved and kissed the fish tanks.

Porter gave wonderful HUGE HUGGS!

...and then gave his mom and dad a fun, rushed trip to the potty. Enough said.

July 4th Festivities

This Fourth of July was very eventful. My great friend Jodie (who is expecting a baby girl this October and who's hubby was also working this 4th) and her son Porter met us at our house to walk down to Main St. and watch the parade. The boys were so funny, they waved their flags saying "hurray" over and over. Noah LOVED all the horses. Whenever some walked by he would stand up, say horsey and lift a leg as if he wanted to get up for a ride. Ha ha!  After posing for a photo, (with many failed attempts to get smiles out of the boys) we walked back and headed to Auntie B and Uncle B's House.

Aren't they beautiful girls? Uncle B is a very blessed man!

Much of the time spent was in the pool. Noah and Porter both are water babies. They could live in it. They have very little fear of the water. At least the shallow end! Noah was showing us how he blows bubbles.

When Porter and Noah get together they play really well. Often their "play" involves copying one another. Here Noah decided it would be fun to run and jump into the pool, head first. Porter must have thought it looked like a blast!

If was quite entertaining for all the adults too!

Unfortunately the party had to end at nap time (for the boys I mean). So after a little crying to stay in the water longer, we made it home for nap time. Jodie and I enjoyed some adult conversation and relaxation on the couch while our little, big, boys rested.

Too quickly they were awake, Jodie and Porter headed off to the fire station, and Noah and I bundled up for Grammy and Grampy's house.

Noah hasn't learned to pronounce the letter G well yet. So he is learning what to call Grampy. He often mixes it up with Pop-pop, but he'll get it soon enough. The greatest part of Grampy is how patient he is with Noah and how he will always walk wherever Noah takes him. Even when Grampy is tired or when the game is on. I think it is the only interruption Grampy allows during his sports games!

Grammy aka "Nummy". We thank her for passing those beautiful baby blues down the line!

Grammy and Grampy always make amazing food. So after two full bellies and lots and LOTS of play time with the family, Noah and I headed home for some shut eye.

But not before Nana MARCHED him to the car for me.

He has been a marching ever since.
It is slow moving...but I can always hear where he is in our house.

Palm Desert

What? I know I look good in my Floaties.

Noah and I had LOTS of pool time this week.
The annual Golf Tournament that Eric plays in Palm Desert was a blast like always.

So much fun, that we really have only a few photos.

Krista and Cole splashed with us. How cute are they?

Ben, was a pro-floater! Noah learned a lot from his little buddy.

Until next year, I already miss you Rancho Las Palmas!
